International Healthcare Summit: First, do no Harm?
A Specialized General Assembly
Background Guide Coming Soon!
Healthcare is full of problems that everyone agrees should be solved, and almost no one agrees on how to solve. The International Healthcare Summit (IHS) brings together leading stakeholders from across the healthcare industry as they work to address the challenges shaping the future of global healthcare. Delegates will represent influential organizations and institutions, balancing their own priorities while responding to questions surrounding emerging technologies, healthcare accessibility, workforce shortages, and the growing pressure placed on healthcare systems around the world. Through negotiations, strategic partnerships, public statements, and a variety of interactive committee elements, delegates will have opportunities to build influence, advance their interests, and shape the direction of debate. As new developments emerge and competing priorities collide, delegates must determine how to drive meaningful change while navigating the realities of modern healthcare. Whether championing bold innovations, forging unlikely alliances, or responding to unexpected challenges, delegates will have plenty of opportunities to think creatively and leave a lasting impact on the committee.
About the Committee
About the Director

Hi everyone! My name is Kayla Bello, and I am so excited to be directing International Healthcare Summit: First, do no Harm? I am currently a senior at the University of Florida majoring in Economics with minors in Health Administration and Business, and I have been involved in Model UN for the past four years. During that time, I have served as Co-Chair of Ad Hoc GA at SunMUN II, USG of GA at SunMUN III, and Secretary-General of SunMUN IV, making this my first opportunity directing a committee at SunMUN (yay finally!!). Having watched the conference grow over the years and continually raise the bar for the quality and creativity of its committees, I am excited to contribute to that tradition through a committee that combines many of my academic, personal, and professional interests. Through my experiences working in and alongside healthcare systems, I have gained a firsthand look at the challenges, tradeoffs, and opportunities that shape healthcare today, and I cannot wait to see delegates tackle these issues in innovative and unexpected ways. Outside of MUN, I love exploring new nature trails, finding fun ways to stay active, going on random side quests with friends, and learning about new people and ideas. I cannot wait to meet you (or see friendly faces again :)) and have so much fun with you all at SunMUN V!
