About the Director
Nicolas “Nico’ Mendez Arango is a fifth-year student at the University of Florida. He is currently double majoring in mechanical and aerospace engineering. Born and raised in Colombia, he came to the US when he was 12 years old and has been living in Miami ever since. He has done Model UN for the past 8 years, and has served as UF MUN’s president, as well as the Director General for SunMUN IV. Before that, he directed twice at SunMUN directing the Bilingual Council of the gods specialized for SunMUN II and the Age of Dinosaurs crisis committee at SunMUN III, both of which got him recognition as an all star best director team one by Best Delegate. After begging for 4 years, he was finally given the Ad Hoc. Outside of MUN, he enjoys traveling, learning languages, and playing board games with his friends.
